This unit is responsible for implement ICT Policy and e-Government strategy; developing and coordinating Integrated Information and Communication Technology; maintaining hardware and software; coordinating and providing support on procurement of software and hardware; carrying out studies and proposing areas of using ICT as an instrument to improve service delivery and Support the use and development of information technology to enable innovation in research, learning and research result disseminations. 

The unit is also responsible for providing a robust, reliable, and secure information technology infrastructure; planning and developing a system for collecting and manage TAWIRI statistics; coordinating collection, analysis and dissemination of TAWIRI statistics; interpreting statistical data for internal and external users by using contemporary technology being a custodian of TAWIRI Statistics and keeping, updating and maintaining the central database and other systems.
